Chocolate Brownies

This is a great home-made recipe when you fancy a chocolately-treat

Equipment: 
  • Weighing scales
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring jug
  • Table knife
  • Food processor
  • Brownie tin
  • Baking parchment
  • Cooling rack
  • Measuring spoons

 

Ingredients: 
  • 75g plain flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 5ml vanilla extract
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 15g cocoa powder
  • 30ml boiling water
  • 75g plain chocolate
  • 25g milk chocolate
  • 100g unsaturated fat spread

 

Simple steps: 
  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas Mark 4
  2. Line the tin with baking parchment
  3. Melt the chocolate and unsaturated fat spread together either in the microwave or in a bowl over a saucepan of boiling water
  4. Put the cocoa powder into a small bowl and add the boiling water, mix until smooth
  5. Break the eggs into a large bowl, add the sugar and vanilla essence, whisk and add the cocoa mixture
  6. Add the chocolate and whisk until smooth
  7. Sift the flour and fold in to the mixture
  8. Pour into the tin and bake for 20 minutes
