Dark Chocolate Hob Nobs

These biscuits are perfect with a cuppa

Equipment: 
  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking tray
  • Greaseproof paper
  • Mixing spoons
  • Microwave bowl
  • Cooling rack
Ingredients: 
  • 100g self raising flour
  • 75g caster sugar
  • 2 teaspoons golden syrup
  • 80g porridge oats
  • 100g unsaturated fat spread
  • 2g bicarbonate of soda
  • 50g dark chocolate
Simple steps: 
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas Mark 4 and line the baking tray with greaseproof paper
  2. In a mixing bowl mix the flour, oats, sugar and bicarbonate of soda
  3. In the microwave bowl melt the butter and syrup until soft and add to the dry ingredients
  4. Mix well
  5. Divide the mixture into 15 balls and place on the baking tray (place them quite far apart as they will spread when cooking)
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown and cool on a wire rack
  7. When cool, break the chocolate into the microwave bowl and microwave until melted
  8. Drizzle the chocolate over the biscuits
