Houmous

A chick-pea dip, perfect with a warm pitta or served with carrot or celery sticks

Equipment: 
  • Tin opener
  • Sieve/colander
  • Tablespoon
  • Teaspoon
  • Garlic crusher
  • Mixing bowl
  • Blender or potato masher
Ingredients: 
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 200g tin chickpeas
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ½ tsp cumin or paprika
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp water
Simple steps: 
  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas
  2. Crush the garlic
  3. Add all of the ingredients to a blender
  4. Blitz and serve

Mash the mixture with a fork or potato masher if you don't have a blender!
