Joanne Elward

Hi my name is Joanne. I am the Cook and Eat Well Team Leader. Cook and Eat Well is such a great course and the team are really approachable, supportive and enthusiastic.  They will make sure you learn lots of new cooking skills whilst ensuring you have lots of fun.

My favourite recipe is healthy fish pie.   

 

Anita Shervington - Community Engagement Coordinator

Anita Shervington

Hi, my name is Anita and I am a Community Engagement Coordinator. I have come with over 12 years of community engagement experience, working on projects including women's empowerment, healthy eating and local heritage. 

My favourite recipe is Pumpkin soup, but I add Scotch Bonnet pepper to give it a lovely Caribbean flavour. Warning: remove the Scotch Bonnet before blending and don't let it burst - unless you like really hot food!

 

Kirsty Hill - health and wellbeing Coordinator

Hi, My name is Kirsty. I am a Health and Wellbeing Coordinator in Coventry. I love working on the Cook & Eat Well project, delivering the healthy cooking courses and meeting lots of new people. Lets get cooking... !!

liz taylor - community engagement coordinator

Hi, my name is Liz and I am a Community Engagement Coordinator in Coventry. I have been part of Cook and Eat Well for 5 years now and have met so many interesting people on our cooking courses! As a busy working mum, with two small children, I need quick and easy recipes to cook during the week.

My favourite recipe is a fruity chicken curry which my whole family enjoys.

sarah ashton - tutor

Hi, I’m Sarah and am very excited to be a part of the Cook and Eat Well team in Coventry as a tutor. I am also very happy to be a Project Support Officer at the Community Health and Learning Foundation in Loughborough when not in Coventry. What I love most about the Cook and Eat Well is working with all sorts of communities and meeting lots of interesting people. 

My top two yummy recipes have to be the Spinach & Chickpea Curry and Apple & Cinnamon Upside Down Pudding! Mmmm...

 

Amy - project officer

Hi, my name is Amy! I’m a Health & Wellbeing Project Officer. I am the newest member of Cook & Eat Well and will be working in Coventry and Sandwell. I love sharing with people how healthy food can be inexpensive & most importantly tasty!
 
My favourite dishes from the course are Chilli Con Carne and Apple & Blackberry Crumble!

Hi, My name is Andy and I am a Health and Wellbeing Project Officer. I come from a health and fitness background, having studied Sports Exercise and Fitness and working as a personal trainer for many years.

Hi, my name is Mark and I am a Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator in Stoke-on-Trent. I have a passion for fitness, food and health! I love the challenge of bringing people together, to do something they may never have tried before, fitness or cooking, the joy of all working together, and helping people and families to lead healthier lifestyles.

I enjoy many foods from around the world, Thai especially. From our vast array of recipes, one of my favourites would be the Romanian Bean Soup.

I love delivering the Cook and Eat Well sessions - it's great to see people developing their confidence and cooking skills in the kitchen. The Cook and Eat Well recipes are so easy but incredibly tasty, healthy and budget-friendly. 

My favourite recipes are carrot and coriander soup, speedy biryani, and for a special treat, lemon and strawberry cheesecake.
